Part-Time Fire/EMS Providers

The Lamar Ambulance Service utilizes part-time EMS responders to help staff our ambulance service.  Introductory members are required to become qualified to operate our ambulances in the first six months of their employment.  After that each member is required to commit to a small number of call shifts each month.  Responders are compensated for calls that they attend on their call day as well as trainings attended.  We have a similar program for any person who chooses to become a part-time firefighter.  If interested in becoming one of our part-time members please contact Deputy Chief Pat Leonard at 719-336-4321 or e-mail him at Pat.Leonard@ci.lamar.co.us.
